10/18/2008 - ECA Parent Appreciation Day and Team Spirit Day
On Saturday October 18th, ECA hosted its’ 1st Annual Parent Appreciation Day. The Theme was ECA Spirit. Parents from across the ECA Family got the opportunity to meet and greet over an assortment of Lite Breakfast Fare and Lunch Snacks.
The stage was set and parents were given the opportunity to have candid discussions with each other and the coaching staff on the “All-Star Life” and “The Overall Cheer Experience”. Parents were introduced to the idea behind ECA’s push and strong belief in good work ethic to develop a squad of excellence. Parents were dressed in their best versions of “ECA SPIRIT” with various representations of purple and teal. The coaching staff got in on the fan wear and wore their ECA PJs, Sweatsuits and Throwbacks. Parents participated in group and one-on-one discussions that reached across several areas of all-star cheerleading and each parents departed with a better understanding of “How it Works” in the world of ECA. Most of all, parents just had fun the ECA Way!! What a great way to expand the ECA Family!!
09/20/2008 - ECA Lime Time Team Bonding Retreat
On Saturday, September 20th, as part of the ECA Team Bonding Series, “Lime Time” participated in their first team retreat. The theme for our retreat was "Building a Team of Excellence through a Unified Goal". Our retreat included a surprise appearance by the “Lime Time Fairy”, a guest speaker, mental and physical challenges and a delightful discussion on what it takes to be a team. By late evening “Lime Time” hit the pool and party like only the girls of “Lime Time” can and closed out the bonding retreat with good food and fun. What a blast we had!! Thanks Rev. Kendra Smith for facilitating the outstanding team bonding exercises.


08/13/2008 - ECA Think Pink Team Camp and Retreat Part 1
In August ECA’s ”Think Pink” Team traveled to GA for a 3 day Stunt/Tumbling Camp and Bonding Retreat. The experience will be remembered for years to come. During the day “Think Pink” learned and mastered many new skills and perfected a number of different tumbling sequences. In the evening “Think Pink” and the ECA Coaches, lead by Rev Kendra Smith, spent time discussing topics that face young women; like interpersonal challenges, what it means to be a team and conflict resolution. There were themes, team mental and physical fun challenges and self reflection. “Think Pink” learned that they can compete as a team while developing as individuals. There was shopping, lots of good food and giggles late into the night. “Think Pink” left GA with new skills and a unified mission for the season. GO ECA!!! Go “Think Pink”


07/19/2008 - ECA Community Day
On Saturday, July 19th, as a continued part of the ECA Team Bonding Series and Community Service Events, ECA participated with the Beltway Church of Christ in the Annual Community Day Celebration. Our cheerleaders had an awesome time bonding and enjoyed the wonderful concept of giving back to the community. Cheerleaders entertained the crowd with their tumbling skills and ECA's Pink Team performed a mini cheer routine.
ECA along with several community leaders and businesses; sponsored information booths that provided the community with information, products and services that benefit today's families. ECA's family and friends came out for the event and shared in the festivities with the church and community in a variety of activities including; food, games, roller-skating, face painting, gospel singing, and guest speakers that included State Representative Marilyn Bland.
ECA will continue working with Beltway Church of Christ and other community and business leaders to enhance cheerleader's experiences and to foster the development of strong communities. ECA and it members believe this is vital to the nations success. What a great time we

03/22/2008 - ECA Easter Egg Hunt
On March 22nd ECA held its 1st Annual Easter Egg Hunt. ECA Minis Rebels, Youth Rave and Junior Revenge hit the trail in search of all the eggs and goodies they could find. The fantastic ECA parents made sure the hunt was a huge success. Eggs and treats were hid in some of the most outrageous places and the Arrival of the Easter Bunny sealed the event. Cheerleader found all sorts of goodies and even eggs filled with cash!!! What a wonderful time we had hopping down the Bunny Trail with Old Peter Cotton Tail!

01/08/2008 - ECA Annual Holiday Raffle/Pep Rally
In January ECA held its 5th Annual Holiday Raffle and Prep Rally to open the competition season. ECA Minis Rebels, Youth Rave and Junior Revenge hit the mat and perform their routine for a packed crowd of ECA Family Members. The coaching staff served as MCs and started the event off with the nationally known ECA spectator chant “Whose House is This!!!!” Between each team’s performance ECA Raffled off 3rd, 2nd and finally 1st place prizes ranging from $150.00 to $500.00 dollars. The excitement in the gym was unbelievable. The ECA Family cheered on the girls and got super crazy when it came time to win anyone of the 3 great cash prizes. The night closed out with remarks from the coaching staff and one more round of “Whose House is this”. What a wonderful time we had!!

12/17/2007 - ECA 3rd Annual Holiday Party
In December ECA Held its 5th Annual Holiday Party. It was a huge and joyous party with great food, fun and games. ECA Cheerleaders and Parents enjoyed the magic show from “Dinky the Magician" and participated in ECA’s Annual Holiday “So you Think You Can Sing” Show where random groups performed traditional holiday songs to several different genres of music. What fun we had watching folks sing “Frosty the Snowman” in the style of HIP/HOP Rap and “Jungle Bells” in the style of Opera while enjoying holiday treats prepared by members of the ECA Family. The ECA Family celebrated the Holidays until late into the night and truly wrapped themselves in the true meaning of family and fun!!!




10/21/2007 - ECA Team Retreat Part 2
On Sunday, October 21st, as a continued part of the ECA Team Bonding Series, ECA held a bowling retreat for our cheerleaders. The theme for our retreat was "Girls Just Wanna have Fun". Our cheerleaders had an awesome time bonding and enjoyed the wonderful sport of bowling. Many cheerleaders scored over 100 points. Cheerleaders learned a valuable lesson; that as long as you set your mind to achieve, you will succeed. We closed out our bonding retreat with food, fun, and family. We look forward to our next team adventure!!
